The Gulupa can be consumed raw by cutting it in half and eating the pulp with a spoon. It can be eaten alone or with cream and sugar. It is also delicious in salads, or in juice by pressing the pulp through a strainer and adding water. The seeded pulp can also be made into jelly, jam, sauces, cocktails and ice cream.
